The Mission of the Murphy Center for Hope is to facilitate collaboration among independent agencies serving individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in Larimer County. The Murphy Center hosts a continuum of integrated agencies and services that, collectively, empowers guests along the path to self-sufficiency. Our goals are to help people with their immediate and long-term needs while also addressing the underlying causes of homelessness and helping to make the problem rare, short-lived and non-recurring.
“The Murphy Center for Hope, being a container of comfort and guidance, of direction and, well, of hope… it’s helped me with a place to stay, a job, a hug, warmth, food, comfort… My thanks for their ever-smiles and direction, for their concerns and their warmth, for their skills and their colossal hearts for others, for their time and attention. My wounds are still healing, but… My Situation Will Change.”
More than a dozen agencies operate programs out of the building–providing everything from basic supplies to long-term services–with a collaborative mission to help our guests escape the grip of homelessness.
The Murphy Center is managed by Homeless Gear and overseen by a four-agency Partner Council comprised of Neighbor to Neighbor, Catholic Charities, Summitstone Health Partners and Homeless Gear. Learn more about our new collaborative funding, management and oversight structure here!
